교육서비스 품질에 관한 국내 연구동향 연구

대학을 둘러싼 환경의 변화는 우리나라 대학들이 국내의 대학은 물론 세계 대학들과도 무한 경쟁의 시대에 돌입할 수밖에 없는 무거운 문제에 직면하게 하였고, 교육수요자, 즉 학생에 대한 교육서비스에 더욱 많은 관심을 갖게 하였다. 영리기업을 대상으로 한 서비스 품질에 관한 연구는 1980년대부터 비교적 활발하게 이루어져 왔으나 비영리 기관을 대상으로 한 서비스 품질 연구는 아직까지 미미한 수준에 머물러 있다. 특히, 2000년대부터 우리나라 교육기관을 대상으로 한 서비스 품질 연구가 본격적으로 이루어지기 시작하였다고 말할 수 있으나, 아직 그 연구의 진척 상황이 미약해 앞으로 이에 대한 활발한 연구의 필요성이 부각되고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구는 이러한 교육서비스 품질 연구에 대한 중요성이 커져만 가는 상황에서 그동안 교육서비스 품질에 대한 국내 연구동향을 분석하고 이를 바탕으로 앞으로 좀 더 체계적이고 효율적인 연구 성과 창출과 상대적으로 미약했던 연구 분야를 살펴봄으로써 앞으로 이에 대한 활발한 연구의 필요성을 피력하기 위한 목적을 가지고 수행되었다. 연구결과 지금까지 우리나라의 교육서비스 품질은 SERVQUAL의 5가지 측정척도와 이를 주어진 상황에 따라 수정한 측정척도를 주로 활용하고 있으며, 학생만족, 신뢰, 몰입 등의 인지적 변수와 충성, 추천, 구전, 참여의도, 협조 의도 등의 행동의도 변수와의 구조적 인과관계 연구가 주를 이루고 있는 것으로 확인되었다.
Abstract
This study provides an overview of recent studies on educational service quality that were published in major Korean journals and doctoral dissertations. For this purpose, we examined the main academic journals of korea and found many articles by searching for the titles and key words with 'educational service quality', ‘customer satisfaction’, ‘student satisfaction.’ We examined the studies about the conceptualization and measurement of educational service quality. the causal relations of educational service quality in the research model. First, we studied the conceptualization and measurement of educational service quality. we have examined how educational service quality is defined and measured in each study. Second, we studied the causal relations of educational service quality. we have focused on whether educational service quality is utilized as an antecedent, mediator, or consequence in the research model and have also examined what are the antecedents and consequences of educational service quality. Third, we discussed about major findings of recent research on educational service quality and implications for future research.
