초록
청년기에 가장 핵심적인 고민 주제는 ‘진로’이다. 이 시기 진로를 결정하고 진로에대한 정보를 얻으며, 진로를 향해 나아간다. 또한 진로는 고정된 것이 아니라 전생애에 걸쳐 변화하는 것으로, 진로발달과 성취가 과업으로 주어지는 청년층에 대한전반적인 진로 발달을 살펴볼 필요가 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 『한국교육고용패널조사』를 활용하여 청년들의 진로발달 추이와 변화 형태를 유형화하고, 이들 형태가 결과적으로 노동시장 성과(정규직 여부, 임금, 직장만족도)에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 검증했다. 진로 발달을 구성하는 진로 결정과 진로탐색 수준을 동시에 유형화하기 위해 이원 성장혼합모형(Two-part Growth Mixture)을 실시했으며, 각 유형이 노동시장 이행에 미치는 영향을 Lanza 방식으로 분석했다. 연구결과, 진로 결정이 청년기 전반에 걸쳐 미결정 수준에 해당하는 미결정 집단을 포함하여 5개의 유형이 나타났다. 또한 각 유형에 따른 노동시장 성과는 진로발달이 높은 집단이 전반적으로 다른 집단에 비해 높은 수준을 유지하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에는이러한 결과에 대한 더 상세한 설명과 함의를 포함하고 있다.
Abstract
The focus of this study is on the career development in adolescent. Since the career path is not fixed, rather changing over time, it is necessary to study the career development in adolescence. Thus, using the 11th wave data of the Korean Education & Employment Panel (KEEP), this study attempts to categorize the change of youth career development over time and verifies how those categories have effects on labor market outcomes, including income and job satisfaction. For this purpose, this study applied the two-part growth mixture model and conducted the Lanza approach analysis. The results of the study show that adolescent’s career development can be categorized into five different patterns, including the career indecision group. Moreover, the group with a high level of career development has greater achievement of the labor market outcomes. Detailed explanations and implications of these findings are discussed in the paper.
