치과의료행위의 내용과 범위에 관한 소고 - 치과의료행위에 관한 대법원 2016. 7. 21. 선고 2013도850 전원합의체 판결을 중심으로 -

The Supreme Court judgment decided on whether or not dentists are authorized to give Botox cosmetic treatments under their license. In the present case, a dentist had treated a patient for mid-forehead wrinkles. Even though the dentist had a valid medical license, the Botox treatment was outside the scope of permissible treatment. However, the current medical law does not define what medical care without a license. Moreover, because there are areas that overlap each other by licensed medical practice areas as the development of medical science and technology increases, it is becoming increasingly difficult to clearly distinguish between unlicensed medical practice. This study looks at the various classifications of medical care licenses and the various differences between the licenses. After analyzing the above decision, this study concludes with how to interpret the scope of medical care for dentists for the future.
