초록
With corporate social responsibility(CSR) emerging as one of the most imperative and intriguing issues in the service management circle, a topic on how employees' perception of CSR influences organizational effectiveness has been increasingly paid attention. This study attempts to explore this question with particular attention to organizational citizenship behavior and commitment by considering individual demographic attributes including age and tenure as moderating variables between CSR perception and effectiveness. The results of a cross-sectional survey and hierarchical regression analyses with a survey data of 241 responses from the parcel delivery service employees indicate that the CSR perception of parcel delivery persons strongly enhances their organizational commitment as well as organizational citizenship behavior. This study also presents evidence that tenure and age moderate the relationships between CSR perception and effectiveness in an adverse direction, indicating such relationships are intensified among younger and shorter tenured service employees. This study provides guidance for managers in this industrial sector and academics that wish to address CSR issues and enhance employees' organizational commitment simultaneously.
