초록
국내‧외 스포츠 시장의 성장세와 함께 국내 스포츠산업 규모도 급격하게 늘어나고 있다. 프로스포츠가 더욱 발전할 수 있는 선진적 산업구조의 제도화와 지원방안 마련을 촉구하는 목소리가 높아지고 있으며, ‘한국형 에이전트제도’ 도입에 관한 논의 또한 활발하게 이뤄지고 있다. 기존 에이전트의 경우 일반적으로 구단과 선수 간의 입단협상과 연봉계약 등 주로 계약과 관련된 역할을 담당하는 수준이었지만, 한국형 스포츠에이전트는 체계적인 교육과 관리를 통해 양성된 전문 인력으로 선수권익보호를 위한 계약협상 뿐만 아니라 선수관리를 통한 경기력 향상과 선수를 바탕으로 한 스포츠마케팅업 확장 등 다양한 분야에서 맞춤형 서비스를 한다. 본 논문에서는 한국형 에이전트제도에 대해 알아보고, 도입을 위해 에이전트 교육 아카데미 운영, 스포츠 에이전트 교육연수, 에이전트 자격증 발급 등의 추진방향을 설정하며, 교육연수 및 등록기관, 검정, 등록 절차 등의 체계 마련을 비롯해 이에 따른 고려사항을 함께 제시하였다. 이와 같은 한국형 에이전트제도 도입 연구를 통해 선수에 대한 가치평가가 객관화되면서 선수수급시장이 투명해지고, 트레이드 등 선수 교류가 활성화되면 전체 리그의 전력을 상향평준화시킬 수 있길 바란다.
Abstract
Korean Government recognizes that professional sports is a major leisure activity to public and an important axis of sports industry. Thus, Government arranges institutionalization and support plan to settle an advanced industrial structure in professional sports, which as a consequence, may develop professional sports as an industry through aggressive marketing and diversification of revenue-making business. An introduction of sports agent as an occupation became the needs of the times since Korean sports industry has a sufficient growth potential. This thesis examines a legislative measure which we could expect to promote systematic protection of player’s rights and interests by introducing sports agent. For the soft landing of sports agent, we set promotional direction in operation of agent education academy, agent training and issuance of agent license. Further, we should consider amendment of each association(federation)’s current regulation, objectivity of selection process and sorting out of existing, non-registered or similar agent. We may expect, by introduction of sports agent, expansion of entire sports industry in scale, increase of player’s value via promotion of world-wide management company and development of related industry through job creation.
