입학사정관 경험에 관한 내러티브 탐구
A Narrative Inquiry on the Admissions Officers’ Experiences

이 연구는 2007년 입학사정제 시범사업 이후로 우리나라 각 학에서 근무를 시작한 입학 사정들이 자신의 직업과 련하여 어떤 경험을 하고 그 경험이 가지는 의미가 무엇인지를 탐색하는데 목이 있다. 연구의 목을 달성하기 하여 내러티 탐구방법으로 연구를 진행 하고, 7～8년의 업무경력이 있는 입학사정 세 명을 인터뷰하다. 연구참여자들의 이야기 와 입학사정인 연구자의 경험을 바탕으로 연구결과를 소설로 작성하다. 연구결과에 따르면, 입학사정들은 학 행정조직에 소속되었지만, 업무의 성격상 연구직 에 가까운 일들을 맡으면서 연구자와 행정직원의 ‘끼인 존재’로 조직에 응해 왔다. 조직경험 의 부족으로 기존 행정직원들과의 계에서 어려움을 겪기도 했고 불안정한 신분과 조직운 으로 동료사정들과 많은 갈등계에 놓이기도 했다. 입학사정들은 학생 평가와 선발문 가이자 고교-학연계 로그램 운자로서 업무경험을 해왔다. 입학조직이 안정되지 못한 상 황 속에서도 입학사정들은 고교장의 정인 변화와 진로교육, 상담을 통해 보람을 느끼 고, 소속 학에서 우수학생을 선발한다는 자심과 사명감을 가지고 있음을 알 수 있었다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the Korean admissions officers' experiences and the meaning of their experiences. In Korea, Admissions officers have worked in the university since the University Admission System Support Enterprise started in 2007. The narrative inquiry method was used to achieve the object of the study, and three admissions officers who have seven or eight years’ experiences were interviewed. A novel as the result of this study was written based on the three admissions officers’ stories and my experience. The results of this study are as follows. Although they belong to administrative organization, they used to be sandwiched between administrative staffs and researchers by doing a lot of research tasks. They experienced difficulties in the relationship with administrative staffs, and had been in conflict with co-admissions officers. They have worked as an expert of students selection and an operator of a lot of programs for high school students. They felt rewarded watching high schools change positively, offering career education to students, and counseling them, although placed in an unstable organization situation. Also, they had pride and a sense of duty about the selection of talented students.
