본 연구는 해운물류기업의 자금조달과 관련한 재무적 사업 타당성 분석에 대한 연 구이다. 이 논문에서는 시스템다이내믹스라는 동태적 관점의 분석기법을 적용해 해운 물류기업의 선박투자 재무적 사업 타당성 평가를 실증적으로 분석한다. 선박 투자를 위한 자금조달과정에서 사업 타당성 평가의 객관성을 제고시키기 위해 각종 수입과 비용 변수들을 시스템다이내믹스를 활용하여 구조화하고, 수입항목의 주요 변수인 12 년 후의 중고선가를 동태적 분석기법을 활용하여 예측함으로써 선박 운용기간동안 발 생 가능한 리스크를 효율적으로 관리할 수 있는 방안에 대해 연구하였다. 본 연구의 실증 분석 결과 다음의 두 가지를 도출하였다. 첫째, 시스템다이내믹스를 활용해 선박 투자를 통한 수익성 평가 결과 각각의 수입과 비용 변수들이 인과적 관 계에 따른 동태적 구조를 형성하며 상호 영향을 미친다. 둘째, 선박 투자에 따른 수입 변수 중 중고선가 평가를 위한 다이내믹 예측 결과 미래의 선가 결정에는 운임시장과 공급시장의 각종 변수들이 해운물류 시장의 변화에 따라 유기적 영향을 미친다. 본 연구의 결과는 선박투자 결정의 현실성을 제고하기 위해선 미래 현금흐름 추정 에 대한 동태적 관점의 재무적 타당성 평가가 중요함을 시사하고 있다.
Abstract
This study is based on financial feasibility analysis of business finance. This paper analyze financial feasibility of vessel investment using System Dynamics method. In order to improve objectivity of financial feasibility, income and cost related variables were modeled using System Dynamics. Also, main income variable, S&P price after 12 years was estimated using SD, thus profitability was calculated more objectively. Result of following empirical analysis, two main factors were detected. Firstly, profitability in vessel investment, income and cost variables affecting profitability forms a dynamic structure following casual loop. Secondly, under dynamic forecast to calculate S&P price, various variables from shipping markets affects the price systematically and also changes in future income of the vessel affects the profitability of vessel investment as well. The results of study implies that in order to improve objectivity of future cash flow in vessel investment, financial feasible evaluation from dynamic approach is highly critical.
