행정이론의 한국화를 위한 연구방법 및 이론화 전략: 보편성과 특수성의 이분법적 흑백논리의 극복

There has been growing concern that administrative theories in developmental countries, including South Korea, neglect efforts to explore and develop endogenous theories grounded in their unique realities, but instead blindly import theories from Western countries as normative projects. In this regard, this study seeks to propose and deepen the theoretical debate regarding research methods and theorization strategies for endogenous theorization, in line with the topic of Koreanization. This study is organized as follows: First, I explain the concept of the meaning of the two intertwined philosophical positions of universality and specialism and describe the problem when one position is overemphasized; second, I search for a way to theoretically reconcile the two positions, with a particular focus on Baskhar's “critical realism” and Peirce's “pragmaticism” as theoretical foundations; third, I suggests alternative research methods and theorization strategies for more reality-reflective theory developments.
