How Entrepreneurial Role Model Affects on Entrepreneurial Self－Efficacy and Entrepreneurial Motivation of Korean University Students?: Focused on Mediating Effect of Entrepreneurial Self－Efficacy

[Purpose]The aim of this study is to identify the effect of entrepreneurial role model on entrepreneurial self－efficacy and entrepreneurial motivation of Korean university students. [Methodology]This empirical study employed hierarchical multiple regression analysis using PASW Statistic 18 to test established four hypothesis. Total 176 students from 8 different universities participated in this study who have joined in entrepreneurship program more than one time during past three years. [Findings]The presence of entrepreneurial role model has a positive effect on entrepreneurial self－efficacy and entrepreneurial motivation of Korean university students. Entrepreneurial self－efficacy also serves as a mediating role between entrepreneurial role model and entrepreneurial motivation. [Implications]This study has taken one small step forward into the recent entrepreneurial motivation research by identifying the link among entrepreneurial motivation and the key entrepreneurial variables.
