대학생의 외부활동경험이 핵심역량에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 대학생의 핵심역량에 영향을 미치는 외부활동경험의 영향요인을 탐색하고 영향력 정도를 확인하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 ‘대학생 교수-학습과정 조사도구(NASEL)’의 2015년 자료를 활용하였으며, 탐색적 요인분석을 통해 외부활동경험에 영향을 받을 가능성이 높은 핵심역량을 선정하였다. 이후 이론적 배경에 근거하여 해당 핵심역량에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 외부활동경험 요인들을 탐색한 후 그 영향력의 정도를 위계적 선형모형(HLM)을 통해 분석하였다. 분석 결과 공연 및 전시회 관람, 스포츠경기 관람, 각종 프로젝트 참여 활동, 자발적인 자원봉사 또는 지역사회 봉사활동, 수업 외 관심분야 스터디 및 학습 커뮤니티 활동, 국내・외 현장실습 및 견학 답사 등의 외부활동경험이 핵심역량에 유의한 영향력을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 이 외 기타 외부활동경험은 핵심역량에 따라 정적・부적 관련성을 띄었다. 본 연구를 통해 의미있는 외부활동경험을 하여 핵심역량을 기르는데 도움이 되기를 기대한다.
Abstract
This study aims to explore the influence [MWDI4]factors of university students’ out-of-class experiences that have an influence on their core competency and identify the degree of influence. To achieve this, this study used the 2015 data of ‘University Students Teaching-Learning Process Survey Tool (NASEL)’ and selected the core competencies that were likely to be influenced by the out-of-class experiences through exploratory factor analysis. It then explored the out-of-class experience factors that could influence core competencies based on theoretical backgrounds and analyzed the degree of influence through Hierarchical Linear Model (HLM). As a result of this analysis, it was found that such out-of-class experiences as seeing performance and exhibition, watching sports games, participation in various projects, spontaneous volunteer work or community service, study group and learning community activities in areas of interest other than class, and work experience and field trip at home and abroad had a significant influence on core competencies. Other out-of-class experiences showed a positive or negative relevance to the core competencies. This study is expected to be helpful for improving the core competencies through meaningful out-of-class experiences.
