초록
This paper analyzes service preferences of Intelligent Transportation Systems(ITS) and effects of ITS service by individual characteristics. In order to analyze effects of ITS service, this paper analyzes auto drivers’ modal-shift affected by a real time mass transportation information service. For this research, individual survey data were collected in Gyeongsan City, which is a satellite town of Deagu Metropolitan City. Some descriptive statistical analyses and hypotheses testing were conducted. Then, empirical logit models for analyzing factors affecting service preferences of ITS and effects of mass transportation information service were estimated. Empirical logit models estimated for this research show that education, age, and ‘whether to drive or not’ are important factors affecting the service preferences of ITS. Moreover, gender and age were important factors affecting the auto drivers’ modal shift. Finally, some important findings and policy implications are discussed, and some limitations of the research and future research directions are addressed.
