Therefore, It is anticipated that the importance of data is expected to increase further in the future. Big Data, Internet of Things, and the artificial intelligence environment are considered as the core of IT technology. The problem, however, is that these innovative technologies have both positive and negative impacts across our society. The Fourth Industrial Revolution and its related IT technologies are giving rise to various new and emerging legal issues and policy challenges that can emerge in our society as a whole. In response, both governments and the private sector are demanding quick and accurate countermeasures. Companies that intend to use personal data, personal information actively argue that the Korea Personal Information Protection Act should relax such regulations because there are many regulations against strengthening competitiveness in building smart factories. However, such the excessive reduction of various regulations on personal information protection laws, such as easing the pre - agreement of information holders will rather lead to the problem of who should be responsible for the leakage of personal information accumulated during the process of creating such big data or its illegal distribution. In short, in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, we should not overlook the risk of humans, such as excessive infringement of personal information, caused by this innovative information technology. Therefore, companies and industries that use these technologies will have to take technical protection measures with a proactive approach if there are anticipated risks.
