창업한 여성결혼이민자들의 학습경험에 대한 의미 탐색

A Study on the Meaning for Learning Experience of the Married Female Immigrants Who Established a Business

The purpose of this research is to define the problems of the Fisheries Census of Korea and to make better policies for improvement. In order to complete the purpose, the research team has firstly conducted a survey (This paper focuses on exploring meaning about the learning experience in founding process of the married female immigrant who established a restaurant. For this, the research interviewed 15 learners and the results are as follow. First, First, business start-up motivations of married female immigrants who established a restaurant were largely ‘to not be looked down upon by others’ and ‘encouragement by acquaintances’. Second, the married female immigrants who established a restaurant learned about the restaurant trade through ‘natural learning’ and ‘learning by visitation’. After starting the business, they made efforts from their workplaces to serve the food that suits customers’ tastes. ‘Natural learning’ consisted of ‘self-learning a method of making food in house through the Internet’ and ‘learning a method of making food from parents of a married woman’ while ‘learning by visitation’ was achieved by ‘visiting the country of origin’. With these results, we found that the married female immigrants who established a restaurant learned the food solely based on informal learning. Third, learning for overcoming difficulties after starting a business consisted of ‘mastering know-how for purchasing cheap and fresh food ingredients’, ‘solving the customer's inconvenience’, and ‘keepimg customers by courteous service’. Fourth, after establishing a business, they experienced changes in their life, which included ‘gradually becoming not being ignored and diginified’ and ‘having a happy dream’. Fifth, based on these results, the meaning for learning experience of the married female immigrants who established a restaurant founded out that they are ‘gradually becoming a diginified member of society be not ignored and with strong financial power in Korean society’.
