국제 산업연관표를 활용한 제조업 부문의 경제적 파급 효과에 관한 연구

This study is trying to examine the international competitiveness of the Korean manufacturing sector by comparing to Germany, Japan and China. National Input-output table and inter-country input-output table are used to analyze it. One of results shows that Korea’s proportion of input in the world’s manufacturing sector is rising but China’s proportion is increasing faster than Korea. In addition, Korean production inducement coefficient which is computed by inter-country input-output table in manufacturing sector was higher than that of the comparative countries(Germany, Japan and China), and Korean production inducement coefficient by national input-output table was also higher than that of those countries. However, the proportion of overseas input in the manufacturing sector in Korea is largest among 3 comparative countries. Generally, the production inducement coefficient which is computed by inter-country input-output table is divided into the part induced in Korea and the part induced in overseas. In the case of Korea, the production inducement coefficient in overseas is larger than that of Germany, Japan and China. In this regard, production and value added induced in manufacturing sector in Korea can be seen to be largely leaked overseas. This means that the efficiency of the manufacturing sector in Korea is lower than that of those countries.
