성인학습자의 창업활동에 관한 질적 연구

This study aimed at examining what learning achievements adult learners accomplish when their motivations for participating in learning and learning processes are goal-oriented. The participants of the study included adult learners in new business startup school. Data on the participants’ motivations for participating in learning, learning goals, education of entrepreneurial theories, experience of managing a store, one to one expert mentoring and entrepreneurial activities including business supporting processes were collected and analyzed in a qualitative research method. According to the results, the participants showed higher achievements in entrepreneurial activities when their motivations for learning processes were goal-oriented than they were not. In order to increase adult learners’ learning achievements, the followings should be carried out. First, a clear quantitative learning goal should be presented in the design and public competition stage of learning processes. Second, adult learners should be told to verify whether their own motivations for participating in learning and goals coincide with the goal of learning processes and achievements. Third, individuals’ goals and the goals of learning processes should be all satisfied through various learning interactions including education, mentoring and field experience learning in the learning stage. Lastly, this study has the limitations of qualitative research including subjective interpretation results. Therefore, as a future research task, correlation between adult learners’ motivations for participating in learning and goals and their learning achievements should be empirically studied based on abundant quantitative data, and thus presenting measures which supplement the limitations of qualitative results.
