The revenue policy was introduced to minimize the adverse effects caused by excessive diffusion of the gambling industry. However, there are various discussions on whether the revenue policy is achieving its original purpose properly. The purpose of this study is to (1) suggest a direction of government policy for the gambling industry; (2) derive rational improvement plans of operation through the policy diagnosis of the revenue policy of the NGCC; (3) develop improved alternatives such as the latest statistical data and characteristics of each industry. In detail, first, the current revenue policy and operation direction of the gambling industry in Korea are examined. Second, the problems of the current revenue policy system are drawn out. Third, we would like to suggest an improvement plan. The following suggestions were made for improvement. First, the method of calculation should include the total amount of sales. Second, reinforcement of illegal and foreign gambling ban should be enforced. Third, the results suggest ways of strengthening the competitiveness of legal gambling industry. A careful review of the casino industry's revenue policy will lead to the development of the casino industry in Korea. In addition, it will contribute to the improvement of the regulatory reality on the controversial issue.
