환대기업의 재무건전성이 경영성과에 미치는 영향

IMF 외환위기의 경제적 위기 속에서 환대기업에 속하는 기업들인 아시아나항공, 르네상스호텔, 자유 투어, 바빌론, KTB 여행사 등도 폐업하거나 M＆A에 의한 수모를 겪게 되었다. 그 후 2008년 금융위기로 인해 경제성장율 둔화, 환율상승 물가상승 등의 경제적 요건으로 인해 환대기업들의 재무건전성은 급격하게 떨어졌다. 재무건전성의 악화는 기업의 경영성과와는 유의미한 관계가 있을 것으로 예상되어 본 연구에서는 주요 재무건전성과 기업부실 예측 변수로 F_SCORE, Z_SCORE, K_SCORE가 기업의 경영성과에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 분석결과 종속변수인 ROE에 대한 결과로 F_SCORE, Z_SCORE 는 1%의 수준에서 유의한 양(+)의 결과를 보였고, K_SCORE 는 1% 수준의 음(-)의 결과를 보여 상반 대는 결과를 보였고, ROA의 경우에도 이와 같은 결과를 보여 환대기업의 F_SCORE, Z_SCORE 가 높을수록 K_SCORE가 낮을수록 양호한 경영성과를 보였다. 이러한 결과로 환대기업의 F_SCORE, Z_SCORE, K_SCORE 의 지표는 경영성과를 예측하는 유용한 변수임을 보여주어 경영자의 경영 자가진단이나 투자자 및 채권자 등의 정보이용자가 의사결정시 유용하고 적합한 지표임을 보여주었다. 본 연구는 기존의 주 측정모형인 F_SCORE 뿐만 아니라 F_SCORE, Z_SCORE, K_SCORE의 3가지 모형으로 종합적으로 분석하여 검증력을 높였다. 또한 본 연구의 결과에 따른 환대산업에 속하는 기업의 설립이나 투자를 고려하는 정보이용자 및 금융기관과 보증기관 등에서 경영 자가진단이나 투자의사결정에 유용한 정보를 제공할 것으로 기대되는 점에서 큰 의미가 있다
Abstract
This study analyzed the effect of F_SCORE, Z_SCORE, and K_SCORE on the performance of a company as a predictor of major financial soundness and corporate default for hospitality companies. As a result of the analysis, F_SCORE and Z_SCORE showed a positive(+) effect on the dependent variable ROE at the level of 1%. However, K_SCORE showed a negative effect at the level of 1%. This is the opposite of what we expected. ROA also showed the same result. The higher the F_SCORE and Z_SCORE of hospitality companies, the lower K_SCORE, and the better the management performance. As a result, indicators of F_SCORE, Z_SCORE, and K_SCORE of hospitality companies are considered as useful variables to predict management performance. They are therefore useful and suitable indicators for self-diagnosis of managers and decision-making of investors and creditors. This study increased the test power by comprehensive analysis using three models of F_SCORE, Z_SCORE, and K_SCORE. In addition, it is expected that information users, financial institutions and guarantee institutions will consider establishing and investing hospitality enterprises since they will be provided with useful information for business diagnosis and invest
