4차 산업혁명 시대의 노동조합의 역할과 한계

In the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the era of (internet-AI) hyperconnected intelligence, everyone agrees that polarization of the labor market will be deepening. Laborsaving innovative technology will substitute most jobs on which men now work. And it will result in wide-ranging technological unemployment, which may cause very serious social disturbance. Now korean trade unions face an extremely hard task that they must not block progress in innovative technology and at the same time wangle job security. By the way the Supreme Court has not granted the right to strike against layoff. As a result, korean trade unions have considerably lost their power of fight to stop layoff with the introduction of new laborsaving technology for profit maximization. Under such circumstance, they need to wisely take the initiative in the issue of labor flexibility to ensure job security. In other words they need to lead labor flexibility discussion and in return have the government reconstruct welfare system to secure job security & social safety net. This task requests a talk on the level of the tripartite of labor, management, and government. All korean trade unions must show all their ability to do it, for there is not much time left.
