A Study on the Effects Work Social Support for Facilitation and Job Satisfaction and Life Satisfaction among Work-Family: Focused on the Franchise Korean Restaurant Employees

In this study, with the survey data from 211 employees in the franchise Korean restaurant employees in food service industry, we found work–family facilitation and family-work facilitation acted as mediators between work social support and job/life satisfaction. In addition, this study tested whether facilitation among work-family can effectively increase employee's job satisfaction, life satisfaction or not. To examine the proposed model, frequency, factor, reliability, and regression analysis were undertaken using SPSS to explore the relationships among variables. The results showed that in case of work social support, only "supervisor support" had not a significantly effect on work-family facilitation. In case of facilitation among work-family had a significantly positive effect on job/life satisfaction. The noteworthy result in the present study was that work social support was not only caused by facilitation among work-family but also produced by employee's job and life satisfaction. The article concluded with future research directions and limitations.
