유니버설 디자인과 트리즈 원리의 상관관계 연구: 유니버설 디자인 프로젝트 사례를 중심으로

Background Because universal design has a wide range of design constraints, it is relatively difficult to do problem solving. The TRIZ 40 principles are effective approach as a problem solving tool with a systematic and efficient idea generation method. Therefore, in this study, the authors tried to examine the relationship between universal design and TRIZ 40 principles on the assumption that there will be more suitable principles for universal design among TRIZ 40 principles. In the previous research, the authors also looked at the correlation between the two, but in this study, the authors focused on the case of universal design project to emphasize practical subjects. Methods In order to utilize the universal design project as a research case, the authors conducted a training workshop of TRIZ 40 principles for 26 undergraduates in the universal design class. After the workshop, surveys were conducted and data were collected. The students were ranked in order of frequency and importance of TRIZ principle for universal design project, and correlation analysis and rank correlation analysis were conducted with the results of previous research. Results First, as a result of pearson correlation analysis, the correlation between general TRIZ principle and universal TRIZ principle was low. Second, the top 10 principles of the previous study and the top 10 principles of this study have been highly correlated, but spearman rank correlation coefficient was low. This is because the top 10 TRIZ principles have different ranks according to the subjects that universal design applied. Conclusions In this study, the authors found that it is effective to use the top 10 principles in the universal design problem solving. However, the ranking may vary within the ten principles depending on the subjects, and additional research is necessary to define the ranking.
