학생부종합전형에 대한 입학사정관 및 고등학교 교사의 경험 및 공정성 개선방안에 대한 인식

The most prominent change in the collegiate student selection in Korea is the adoption of the school-record-based selection. However, there are also voices of concern about the fairness of this student selection process. Despite some concerns, the school-record-based student selection has advantages over other selection processes. Therefore, this study aims at suggesting a way to overcome the problems that may occur in the implementation process while taking advantage of the school-record-based student selection. The purpose of this study was to suggest measures for improving the fairness of the selection process by conducting surveys on admission officers and high school teachers. The participating admission officers regarded the school-record-based selection as a suitable model for the selection of the students of the university, and suggested the proportion of the process to be expanded. Among the factors that should be reflected in the school-record-based selection is the school record itself, and students being given an opportunity to reveal themselves through interviews. Teachers showed similar perceptions with admissions officers in terms of their concerns about reliability, but they added their experienced difficulties in writing school records. The results of the survey and in-depth questionnaires were brought together to suggest directions to increase fairness of the student selection process based on the school record.
