프로티언 경력에 관한 통합적 문헌 고찰 - 국내·외 양적연구를 중심으로 -

초록
이 연구의 목적은 국내·외 양적연구를 중심으로 프로티언 경력에 관한 통합적 문헌 고찰을 하는 것이다. 프로티언 경력 연구에 관한 통합적 문헌 고찰을 통해 프로티언 경력 연구의 동향을 파악하고, 연구 대상, 연구 방법, 관련 변인 등의 특징을 분석함으로써 향후 연구의 방향을 제시하였다. 구체적으로 이 연구에서는 첫째, 국내·외 학술지에 게재된 프로티언 경력에 관한 양적연구 논문에서 연구 대상, 하위요인, 측정도구, 연구 방법을 분석하였고, 둘째, 국내·외 학술지에 게재된 프로티언 경력에 관한 양적연구 논문에서 프로티언 경력 관련 변인을 분석하였다. 이를 위해 Torraco(2005, 2016)의 통합적 문헌 분석 방법 및 절차에 따라 2017년 6월 시점 기준까지 국내·외 학술정보 데이터베이스에서 프로티언 경력 관련 키워드로 양적연구 논문을 검색하여, 논문의 목적에 부합되는 총 43편의 논문(국내논문 27편과 국외논문 16편)을 최종적으로 선정하여 분석에 활용하였다. 논문 분석을 통해 다음과 같은 결론을 얻을 수 있다. 첫째, 프로티언 경력에 관한 양적연구는 해외에서 2008년에, 국내에서 2010년 이후에 논문 발표가 시작되어 현재까지 꾸준히 진행되어 왔다. 둘째, 연구분야 측면에서는 인적자원개발뿐 아니라 경영, 심리, 관광 분야 등 다양한 학문 분야에서 프로티언 경력 연구가 진행되었다. 셋째, 연구 대상은 주로 근로자 및 학생인 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 연구 방법 측면에서는 개인 수준의 연구와 횡단 연구가 많이 이루어졌으므로 앞으로는 개인수준과 팀 수준 및 조직수준을 포함한 다수준 연구와 종단 연구가 확대될 필요가 있다. 다섯째, 프로티언 경력은 독립변인으로 가장 많이 사용되었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 기초로 향후 연구 방향 및 논의점, 그리고 실천적 시사점을 제시하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to conduct an integrative literature review about protean career with an emphasis on empirical studies published in Korea and abroad. The research questions of this study were: 1) to analyze samples, dimensions, measures, and methods, and 2) to analyze related variables with protean career. According to the Torraco’s guidelines (2005, 2016) of conducting the integrative literature review, the methods and procedures of the research were carried out. The keywords related to protean career were used to search the literature in databases such as DBPia, Kiss, EBSCO (Business Source Premier), and ProQuest. Through these procedures, a total of 43 articles were finally remained for the analysis based on criteria of retaining the literature retrieved. The results of the study showed as follows. First, the empirical studies on protean career has been conducted since the year of 2008 abroad and since the year of 2010 in Korea. Second, the previous studies of protean career have been conducted in the various academic disciplines such as business administration, psychology, tourism, and human resource development. Third, the most research samples were employees and students. Fourth, the research methods employed cross-sectional design rather than longitudinal design. Additionally, previous literature of protean career heavily focused on individual level rather than using multi-level approach. Finally, the protean career was mostly used as an independent variable. Based on the results, future research directions and practical implications are suggested.
