본 연구는 청년구직자의 중소기업 취업인식의 실태를 체계적으로 파악하고 문제점의 원인진단을 통해 중소기업 기피와 인력수급 미스매치 문제의 완화에 기여하고자 하는 목적에서 이루어졌다. 분석 결과에 따르면 대학생들이 희망하거나 예상하는 보상과 중소기업이 실제로 제공하는 보상 간에는 상당한 미스매치가 존재하고 있다. 중소기업이 필요로 하는 숙련수준에서 대학생 스스로의 평가와 중소기업의 평가에서도 미스매치가 존재한다. 중소기업에 대해 대학생들이 갖고 있는 정보도 매우 빈약하다. 아울러 이러한 보상, 숙련, 정보의 미스매치가 높아질수록 중소기업 취업률이 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 논의를 바탕으로 각 주체별 과제를 간략히 서술하면 다음과 같다. 먼저 대학생들은대부분이 중소기업에 취업할 수밖에 없다는 현실을 직시하여 중소기업을 보다 정확히 알려는 노력이 필요하다. 중소기업 고용주들은 구직자의 취업눈높이에 맞춘 보상수준을 제시하고 정보를 공개하려는 노력이 필요하다. 아울러 이러한 구직자와 중소기업의 노력을 지원하는 정책이 필요하다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to systematically understand college students’ perceptions on SME employment, examine SME employment problems and their causes and find out measures to reduce the mismatch of labor supply & demand. The results of this study show that there exists considerable mismatch between the rewards expected by college students and those actually provided by SMEs. With regard to skills required by SMEs, there exists mismatch between college students’ self-appraisal and SMEs’ evaluation. College students lack in information on SMEs. In addition, the mismatches of rewards, skills and information have negative effects on SME employment rate. Based on these findings, solutions for the mismatch problems are suggested as follows; College students need to realize that most of them cannot help seeking their jobs in SMEs and to take efforts to understand more sufficiently on the conditions of SMEs; SME employers need to provide rewards consistent with the expectations of job seekers and release information on the conditions of their companies; and there is a need for government to implement a policy to support those efforts.
