방염기능성 텍스타일의 디자인 활용에 관한 연구

This study was conducted to contribute to the development of various materials and application of products in textile industry by exploring the value of design use of textile with flame-resistant functionality. For the purpose of achieving research objectives, this study theoretically examined the spread of social use including the background and concept of textile with flame-resistant functionality, the technical principles of flame-resistance, and the legal basis of textile with flame-resistant functionality. In addition, cases of fabric were analyzed in order to examine actual design of textile with flame-resistance functionality, and the value of design use of flame-resistant fabric was analyzed for practical products made of textile with flame-resistant functionality. Information on fabric companies, fabrics of each company and design products using such fabrics was collected through each online site. Among 2,900 companies at the 2018 HEIMTEXTIL exhibition that the researcher visited in person, an analysis was conducted on trophies which handled flame-resistant fabrics. Textile with flame-resistant functionality is rapidly developing in terms of functionally and aesthetically, and expecially in this study, German, Irish, American, Indian and Korean flame-resistant fabrics. Through this process, it was found that the world’s textile design with flame-resistant functionality has achieved remarkable results in the field of material and color development. As such developments in textile design are being recognized for its application to product design, this study examined the products manufactured using textiles with flame-resistant functionality by dividing them into bags, ships and automobiles, and interior products such as sofa. Accordingly, this study examined outdoor clothing and working clothes of electric companies using flame-resistant fabrics and presented future directions. There are three main suggestions in this study. First, the essential preconditions for more popular use of textile with flame-resistant functionality are mass production and resulting cost reduction. Second, the need for an enhanced standard on flame-resistant system, and third, the need for improving the design capability of textile with flame-resistant functionality. It is expected that this study aimed at promoting the design value while enhancing the necessary function of flame-resistance will have a significance in establishing an effective policy at this time.
