1980년대부터 한국 사회는 새로운 현상의 유행을 접하기 시작하였다. 개인의 도덕적 혹은 사회적 실패에 관하여 자기 자신을 탓하기 보다는 사회나 환경을 탓하는 태도들의 출현이다. 이러한 태도들은 이해가 가는 부분이 있을 때도 있지만, 극단적이 될 때는 이기적이고 무책임한 많은 개인들의 등장으로 표출되어, 공동체와 사회에 부정적인 영향을 끼치기 시작하였다. 본 논문은 이런 현상의 사회적 이유가 무엇인가 이해하고자 시도한다. 그리고 탓하고 책임을 전가하는 태도를 통하여 개인 자신과 공동체에 어떤 부정적 결과를 초래할 수 있는지 설명하고, 이에 대한 성경적 대안이 무엇인지 제 시하고자 시도한다. 이 시도에서 필자는 개인의 도덕적 문제와 경제적 문제를 분리하여 다루어야 한다고 제안한다. 이 논문은 책임 전가 태도의 사회 적 원인 중 하나인 현대 한국의 경제적 양극화 현상을 설명하거나, 그에 대한 해결책을 제시하지는 않는다. 도덕적인 문제에만 국한하여 주로 개인적 태도에 관하여만 성경적 가르침을 제시한다
Abstract
This thesis was written to consider and understand the wide spread phenomenon of “blame game” taking place in the late 1900s and the early 21st century Korea and the United States of America. This thesis investigates the social causes of such phenomenon and their spiritual implications. This thesis tries to provide biblical alternatives to avoid the evil cycle of blaming, anger, despondency, and blaming again. This thesis does not try to explain or solve the social problem of economic disparity visible in the modern Korea or the States, which is one cause of blame game. It focuses on the moral problem of ‘blame game’ and provides biblical teachings on personal responsibilities in spiritual and moral issues.
