The Effect of Grit on Customer Orientation and Entrepreneurial Performance: Focused on Self-employed Restaurants

The purpose of this study is to investigate what grit of self-employed will affect on the customer orientation and entrepreneurial performance. In order to carry out such a research purpose, a survey was conducted with restaurant owners in the food service within Seoul city and Kyeonggi-do province. Out of 472 questionnaires, 251 were used for analysis. According to factor analysis, characteristics of grit were classified into perseverance of effort(Perseverance) and consistency of interest(Passion) like previous study. The result of this article is followed, First, Grit did not directly affect the entrepreneurial performance. But the second, the Perseverance and Passion, which is a component of grit, have a direct on customer orientation. Third, customer orientation has a direct effect on entrepreneurial performance.
