China has maintained its low wage level for a long period of time by acting as a processing base for developed countries, but the minimum wage standard is being raised rapidly due to government policy changes. The results show that the average wage ratio to minimum wage has been steadily declining since 2000, although it has rebounded slightly from its lowest point in 2009, but it still remained below 30%, income inequality is increasing. As a result of the analysis of coordination degree between regional wage level and economic development level for 31 provinces, most of eastern coastal areas are higher than those of Midwest and Northeast, and wage level is lower than economic growth, and the minimum wage increase is likely to be continuously revised upward. On the other hand, in the Midwest and Northeast regions, where coordination degree was low, and there is a tendency to coupling between regional wage standards and economic growth. Therefore, it is considered that the upward revision of the minimum wage standard will affect the competitiveness of Korean companies in China, and it is necessary to make continuous efforts to promote technological innovation and increase labor productivity.
