SNS 이용상의 개인정보피해 경험과 프라이버시 염려로 인한 지속사용의도에서 사회자본의 조절효과
The Moderating Effect of Social Capital among Victimization, Privacy Concern, and Intention of Continuance Use in Social Network Service

이 연구는 SNS 이용상에 있어서 프라이버시 염려라는 주제를 중심으로 프라이버시 염려의그 원인은 무엇이고 또한 그 결과로 지속사용에 영향을 미치는지를 알아보고자했다. 여기서는과거의 개인정보피해 경험이 프라이버시 염려에 영향을 미치는 주요 원인이 되는지, 그리고아울러 기존의 논의들에 따라 개인의 정보통제능력과 서비스제공자에 대한 신뢰가 프라이버시염려의 또 다른 주요 설명이 되는지 살펴보았다. 그리고 프라이버시 염려가 SNS의 지속사용에미치는 영향을 살펴봄에 있어, 이 연구에서는 프라이버시 염려에도 불구하고 다른 이유로 지속적으로 사용할 의도가 높을 수 있어 프라이버시 염려와 지속사용의도의 그 둘의 관계가 부(-)적으로 크게 강하지는 않을 것이라고 보며, 그 이유를 알기 위해 프라이버시 염려와 지속사용의도와의 관계에서 사회자본을 조절변인으로 다뤘다. 2017년 서울시 재학생중인 대학생 대상의 조사연구에서 그 결과 개인정보피해의 직, 간접적 경험이 높을수록 프라이버시 염려가 높았고, 개인의정보통제능력과 서비스제공자에 대한 신뢰의 프라이버시 염려에 미치는 영향은 낮았다. 프라이버시 염려는 SNS의 지속사용의도에 직접적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치지는 못했는데, 결속형과교량형으로 나눠 사회자본을 조절변인으로 사용한 결과 SNS 지속사용의도를 설명함에 있어프라이버시 염려와 교량형 사회자본간에는 유의미한 부(-)적 상호작용효과를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 이 결과는 프라이버시 염려에도 불구하고 SNS 이용으로 사회자본을 형성할 것이라고인식한다면 SNS 지속사용이 낮지 않다는 것을 제시한다.
Abstract
This study intends to investigate the topic of privacy concern in social network service such as its causes and its effect on continuance use. This study analyses the effects of prior victimization, information control ability and trust in website on privacy concern. In addition, this study analyses the effect of privacy concern on intention of continuance use in social network service. This study expects that privacy concern has a small negative influence on intention of continuance use, and analyses the moderating effect of social capital between privacy concern and intention of continuance use. Using data from university students in Seoul, 2017, this study found that prior direct and indirect victimization have significant effect on privacy concern but the effects of information control ability and trust in website on privacy concern are not large. Results show that the effect of privacy concern on intention of continuance use is not significant. but the moderating effect of social capitial between them is significant. The study analyses the moderating effect of both bonding and bridging social capital and it is found that the interaction effect of between privacy concern and bridging social capital on intention of continuance use is negative significant, even though the interaction effect of between privacy concern and bonding social capital is not significant. This result implies that if bridging social capital is strong, intention of continuance use is not low, even though privacy concern is high.
