Operation of the logistics center related to e-commerce is mostly carried out with individual units and boxes thatinclude small amount of products, and high efficiency of operation is required as the product types are diverseand require rapid response. This research suggests a mixed method of replenishment of order picking to improveoperational efficiency. As an improvement method, a new process that mixes the dedicated storage (DS) and therandom storage (RS) methods in the forward picking area is proposed. Analysis of the replenishment operationefficiency is based on statistical data of a logistics center currently operated. For the efficiency analysis ofproductivity improvement, the current methods and the suggested mixed storage method are compared in termsof total labor hours of workers. As a result, the mixed storage approach shows to be efficient when the ordervolume is in below average or at maximum.
