Structural Relationship among Job Satisfaction, Job Commitment, and Job Performance: A Comparative Study of Franchise vs. Local Coffee Store

This study was conducted to verify the relationships among job satisfaction, job commitment, and job performance from coffee shop workers who had working experience within three years. The survey was distributed in three major cities in South Korea using online method. Total 400 surveys were distributed and 350 participants were employed for further statistical analysing. SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 23.0 Statistical analysis tool was used for this study. The results shown that all of variables has significant relationships each other. The job satisfaction was specifically critical predictor of job commitment and performance in this study. In addition, there was significant connection between job commitment and job performance. In this study, moderating effect of types of coffee store has been conducted. The result of moderating effect reported that there was significant different relationship between job commitment and job performance. Specifically, the workers who worked for franchise coffee store recognized the job performance through job commitment than local coffee shop workers. In sum, this study will contribute to provide significant practical implications in both academia and the coffee shop business.
