새로운 교수법, 플립드 러닝의 관리회계 수업에의 적용 사례

초록
본 연구의 목적은 대학교 2-3학년 학생들을 대상으로 관리회계 수업에 적용한 새로운 학습법인 플립드 러닝의 진행과정을 소개하고, 그 도입 효과 및 운영상의 문제점을 진단하고 그에 대한 해결책을 제시하는데 있다. 플립드 러닝(flipped-learning)이란 학습자가 실제 수업 전에 자기주도적 학습으로 지식이나 정보를 습득하고, 교실 수업에서는 교수자 및 동료 학습자들과의 협업을 기반으로 문제를 해결하며 심화 학습을 유도하는 교수 학습 방식으로, 실천 능력을 배양하고 학습의 성과와 수업의 참여도를 높이는 것을 그 목표로 한다. 플립드 러닝을 적용한 관리회계 수업은 학습 만족도, 참여도, 학습 성과 측면에서모두 대체적으로 긍정적인 평가를 얻었고 특히 동료학습자들과의 협업을 매우 긍정적으로평가하는 것으로 나타나, 플립드 러닝이 학습 만족도와 참여도를 높이는데 매우 효과적이며 관리회계담당자가 갖추어야 하는 문제해결능력, 의사소통 능력, 팀워크 등의 실천 능력을 배양하는데 매우 유용하고 적합한 학습방법임을 확인할 수 있었다. 그러나 이를 구현하기 위해서는 수업의 재구조화(사전준비)가 필수적이며, 학습자들의 사전 학습이 충분히 완료될 수 있도록 통제하고, 수동적인 학생들의 참여를 유도하며, 팀원들 간의 편차를 해결할수 있는 여러 가지 장치들이 필요 할 것이다. 본 연구는 이에 대한 예시와 적용상의 방법등을 구체적으로 제공하여 향후 회계교과에 플립드 러닝을 적용하고자 할 때 참고용으로활용될 수 있다는 데 그 의미가 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is introducing a case of new teaching method called “flipped learning” in managerial accounting class. Flipped-learning can be described as students gaining first exposure to new studying materials outside of class and then using class time to assimilate that knowledge through problem-solving, discussion, or debates. This study documents that managerial accounting class adopting flipped learning is positively evaluated in terms of class satisfaction, student participation, and student performance. Especially, this study finds that it is very useful and appropriate teaching-learning method to develop practical ability such as problem solving ability, communication skill, teamwork and so on. However, in order to implement flipped-learning, restructuring and preparing the class is essential, and it is also necessary to control the students’ preparation to be sufficiently completed, and to attract student participation. This study can provide specific examples of how to apply flipped-learning in managerial accounting class, so that it can be used as a reference when flipped-learning is adopted in future accounting courses.
