기업차원의 지속가능성은 경영학분야에서 중요하게 다루어지고 있는 연구주제중의 하나이다. 하지만 경영학분야에서의 지속가능성 연구에 대한 체계적인 분석은 아직 부족한 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구의 목적은 지속가능성 관련 문헌에 대한 포괄적 분석을 통해 그 현황과 향후 발전방향을 제시하는데 있다. 이를 위해 먼저 지속가능성과 관련된 주요 개념 및 대두 배경에 대해서 살펴본다. 지속가능성 문헌연구 분석 방법과 관련하여 분석대상 선정 방법 및 분석의 프레임워크를 제시한 이후, 최근 6년(2012년부터 2017년) 사이에 주요 저널에 게재된 지속가능성 관련 국내 학술논문 36건, 해외학술논문 46건에 대해서 (1) 년도 및 제목/키워드, (2) 연구 주제, (3) 이론적 배경, (4) 연구 방법론, (5) 실증 연구의 표본 및 자료 수집 방법, 주요 변수 측정방법으로 구분하여 분석결과를 설명한다. 이를 바탕으로 지속가능성 관련 국내외 연구를 비교한 이후에, 향후 연구방향을 제시하고, 본 연구의 한계점 등을 정리하였다.
Abstract
Sustainability of corporations is one of the most important research topics in the field of business management. Nevertheless, no attempt has been made to review the literature in a systematic way. The purpose of this study is to conduct a comprehensive review of sustainability-related literature to find out the current status and suggest future directions. For this purpose, we first examine terminologies and background information about sustainability. We then provide a framework that includes how to select and analyze the literature. A total 36 and 46 studies published respectively in leading Korean and foreign journals that were published for the recent 6 years (from 2012 to 2017) were analyzed, focusing on (1) year and title/key words, (2) research theme, (3) theoretical background, (4) research methodology, and (5) sample, data collection method, and measurement of key constructs in the empirical studies. Drawing on this review, we report the current status and future directions of research and discuss this study’s limitations.
