The Effect of Corporate Social Responsibility on Job Satisfaction and Turnover Intention: The Moderating Effect of Job Involvement

The main purposes of this study are to examine the effects of corporate social responsibility on job satisfaction and turnover intention of organizational members and the moderating effect of job involvement on corporate social responsibility as well as job satisfaction and turnover intention. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, with respect to the relationship between corporate social responsibility and job satisfaction of organizational members, it was confirmed that economic responsibility and ethical responsibility had a positive effect on the job satisfaction of organizational members. Second, the turnover intention was found to have a positive effect on charitable liability and negatively on economic liability. Third, it was shown that job involvement regulates the relationship between ethical responsibility and job satisfaction of corporate social responsibility. The relationship between economic responsibility and job satisfaction was statistically significant but negative. In addition, charitable responsibility was statistically significant in terms of turnover intention, but showed positive direction. The results of this study suggest that construction companies can provide confidence and a rationale for corporate social responsibility activities and can help establish corporate social responsibility activities to achieve the vision and goals that such companies pursue.
