A Study on the Actual Condition and Improvement Plan of Establishment Support System of Foreign-invested Enterprises in Korea

Domestic investment and start-up support system for foreign-invested companies in Korea is to boost domestic and foreign competitiveness of domestic companies by stimulating foreign investment in Korea. Especially, it is actively promoting the quantitative growth of the national and local economy as well as quality improvement by the effect of domestic employment creation and production increase. The results of this study are as follows. First, this study analyze the main situation of Korean foreign invested companies based on existing research, policy data, and researchers' long-term experience in foreign investment. In addition to abolishing the corporation and income tax exemption system limited to foreign-invested companies, the government should expand financial support, for example, subsidies for local investment promotion, expand tax support such as tax and cash support in connection with job creation, lower the threshold of new technology. It should be supported by domestic and foreign companies with equal support, job creation and new industry. In addition, U - turn, transfer of provinces and suburbs, expansion of job creation and linkage should be strengthened, and the support system of foreign funded enterprises should be actively reorganized, centering on regional balanced support centered on non-capital areas and backward regions.
