창업 실패요인 분석을 통한 창업기업 문제 해결 연구

On the basis of the prior literature on the factors of start-ups failures, this study selected 6 key-factors and 26 sub-factors for the problems of start-up companies, conducting empirical research on them. The results on the problems of start-up activities were presented through analysis of relative importance, priority and correlation between the factors, providing helpful data on the research of start-ups: i.e., to increase the success rate and contribute to the revitalization of start-ups. The top executives ranked first in terms of ➀characteristics of entrepreneurs, ➁management capacity, ➂external environment, ➃strategy, ➄technology, and ➅resource acquisition. The top 5 sub-factors founded were experience and knowledge in the field (first), willingness, passion and drive for start-up (second), collaboration and relationships among internal members (third), problem recognition and resolution (fourth), and rational decision making (fifth). On the other hand, the bottom 5 sub-factors listed were the proportion of equity capital (26th), the manpower needed for commercialization (25th), the establishment of a cooperative system capable of procuring scarce resources (24th), creativity and differentiated technology (23rd), and the ability to finance (22nd). In addition, the characteristics of entrepreneurs, strategies for start-ups, resource acquisition, management capacity, external environment, and technology all showed correlations at the p＜0.01 level of significance. The results, i.e., the priority of the key factors and the sub-factors of the present problems of the start-up company, are expected to help for solving the problem of start-up activities. In other words, our research may help to proactively make potential start-up entrepreneurs and start-up policy makers prepare for the problems arising from the start-up process.
