자본재 설비투자시 견고한 디자인(Robust Design) 접근을 통한 설비디자인선택 의사결정에 관한 사례연구

[Purpose]It is intended to show that there is a robust design choice decision pattern to prepare for the long－term market and technical change uncertainty that can occur exceptionally in the current predictions when decision making the facility investment design choice. [Methology]A single case study methodology showed robust design selection decision patterns. This has shown that a single firm that have not made robust design choices are transformed into robust design choices. In other words, we used a method to prove the existence of differentiated robust design selection pattern versus non－robust design selection. [Finding]Revealed robust design selection pattern. In addition, it showed that the robust design selection decision pattern is a reasonable decision－making area by showing that the change of the robust design selection decision pattern in a firm is made in an attempt to improve through trial and error. [Implications]This study is the first case study in Korea and abroad showing the existence of decision patterns in the selection of robust design against long term market and technical change uncertainty. Beyond facility design selection studies that respond to short－term changes in a user point of view, and the application study of the product from the producer’s point of view, for robust design selection approach, we have academic implications for addressing the need to apply new areas. As a practical implication, there is a need to choose a robust design, as if choosing insurance in case of long－term unpredictable long－term changes in market and technology choices in facility investment design choices.
