The Impact of Green Trade Barriers on Agricultural Products Export in Henan Province and Countermeasures

After China joined WTO, the green trade barriers have become a huge bottleneck for China’s agricultural products to expand into the international market. Green trade barrier, as a kind of non-tariff trade barrier rising under the pretext of environmental protection, has a double impact on the export of agricultural products. This paper first introduces the meaning of green trade barriers, and summarizes the green trade barrier measures of major agricultural products exporting countries in Henan province. The export volume of agricultural products in Henan province under the green trade barriers, analyzed the influence of green trade barrier on agricultural products export trade in Henan province. Finally this paper examines the characteristics of agricultural products in Henan province and the main ways to break through the green trade barriers, in a bid to solve the problem of characteristic agricultural exports in Henan province.
