With the transition to safe and clean energy, the use of eco-friendly electric vehicles in the transportation sector is rapidly increasing. As a result, the need for Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology to improve the performance of the electricity grid and utilize surplus electric power of electric vehicle batteries has also increased. To enhance economics of V2G business in the electricity market, we develop an optimization model considering various EV characteristics including different amounts of power required for transportation and V2G facility connection status. Using our model, the effects of several policies on V2G operations can be examined and analyzed, so it can help establish effective policies that meet the objectives of V2G introduction.
