초록
We propose a model to select the optimal drop zone (DZ) of special operation force by using geospatial information and path search algorithm. Optimal DZ is the region that can be reached safely and effectively the shortest path for the friendly-force desired target-spot under minimizing the exposure from the enemy's surveillance through the parachute-infiltration operation. In order to do this, we firstly have to parameterize data that include the property of the vector interim terrain data (VITD) and select the descending candidate sites by calculating geospatial information system (GIS) data. These data can be extracted from the VITD which are the numerical altitude model of the topographic analysis chart, and the exposure hazard probability map composed of cell units of a certain size generated. The path search algorithm based on the exposure risk map is to find the shortest penetration route for each candidate site by using simple shortest path algorithms likes Dijkstra, A-stars algorithms etc. The proposed model can be provided a tactical decision support tool that could select the optimal DZ within a reasonable time for the military decision maker at the stage of the mission planning.
