도서지역 해상교량 증가와 단위농협의 변화에 관한 연구 : 전남 신안군을 중심으로

This paper analysed the change of Nonghyup due to the increase of marine bridges, focused on Shinan-gun, Jeonnam Province, where most of the regions are composed of islands. We studied the characteristics and recent changes of Nonghyup in island region. This is the first paper to analyze the effects of marine bridges in terms of local financial institutions. We found that the double-ended car-ferry business accounted for 40 to 50 percent of the total sales revenue of Nonghyup in island region. It was analyzed that it operates in the form of deficits in general department and surpluses in financial department. In addition, if the double-ended car-ferry business had abolished, the deficit of general department was increased but the dependence on financial department was further expanded. Eventually, it was found to be merged into nearby Nonghyup or closed. The implications of this study are as follows: First, it should be reasonable compensation for damages from the shutdown of the double-ended car-ferry business which operated by the island Nonghyup. Because, due to the marine bridge opening, the double-ended car-ferry business is forced to close down. Second, efficient operation measures should be devised so that Nonghyup can play a role as a financial institution leading regional development. In particular, measures to revitalize local industries are needed through differentiated financial strategies. Third, in the long run, it is better to the large scale of Nonghyup and improve work efficiency through active personnel rotation.
