In this paper, we consider multi-module systems that consist of n modules in which k units work. The system are sold under warranty about system availability and if the system availability does not satisfy the announced value, the seller should pay some penalty and maintain properly the system to reduce the total maintenance cost. We assume exponential distribution to the failure times of the units and propose a Markov model to obtain the system availability. Some numerical examples are studied to check the effects of the model parameters to the system availability. retirement age.
