국내 인테리어디자인 분야의 디자인권 등록 경향 및 특성 연구
A Study on the Trend and Characteristics of Design Rights in Domestic Interior Design Field

초록
본 연구는 인테리어디자인 분야의 디자인 지식재산권의 경향 분석을 통해 인테리어디자인 산업에 속하는 제품 개발과 지식재산 출원에 있어 방향성을 모색할 수 있는 기초자료를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 먼저 지식재산권, 디자인권의 개념에 대해고찰하고 인테리어디자인 분야의 디자인권 동향에 대해 살펴보았다. 그리고 특허청의 디자인 정보 인프라인 디자인맵(Design Map)을 통해 인테리어디자인 영역의 11개 분류 항목에 포함되는 디자인 등록 경향을조사⋅분석하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 국내 전체 디자인등록 수 추이와 비교했을 때 인테리어디자인 분야의디자인 등록 수 감소세가 두드러지는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 인테리어디자인 분야의 분류 항목 중 유일하게 증가 추세를 보이는 것은 ‘문’에 해당하는 디자인으로 공간의 차폐와 연결 방식, 문의 여러 가지 기능 강화를 위한 기술 및 소재 적용에 대한 것들로 나타났다. 셋째, 기존 분류 항목에 속하는 디자인 분류유형 외에 기술 발달과 융합 등에 의한 새로운 유형이 나타나고 있었다. 따라서 이러한 시계열 자료 축적과 유형 분석을 통해 인테리어디자인 분야의 분류 기준 재고가 필요할 것이다. 마지막으로, 공간 환경에포함하는 개별 제품뿐만이 아니라 공간디자인 자체및 공간시스템에 대한 디자인 보호를 위한 기준과 방안 마련이 요구된다. 향후 특정 디자인 분야에 대한다양하고 보다 정확한 디자인권 통계분석을 실시하기위하여 디자인맵 DB 보완이 필요할 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to provide basic data that can be found in the direction of product development and intellectual property applications belonging to the interior design industry by analyzing trends of design intellectual property rights in the interior sector. To this end, we first reviewed the concept of intellectual property rights and design rights, and then examined the trend of design rights in the interior sector. In addition, the trend of design registration included in 11 categories in the interior sector was investigated and analyzed through the Design Map, a design information infrastructure of the Patent Office. As a result of the study, first, the number of design registrations in the interior sector decreased as compared with the trend of design registrations in Korea. Second, the only increase in the category of interior design is the “door” design, which is about shielding and connecting spaces, and applying technologies and materials to enhance various functions of doors. Third, in addition to the design classification types belonging to the existing classification items, new types appeared due to technology development and convergence. Therefore, it is necessary to reconsider the classification criteria in the interior design field through such time series data accumulation and type analysis. Lastly, standards and measures for design protection for the space design itself and the space system as well as individual products included in the space environment are required. It is necessary to supplement the design map DB in order to conduct various and accurate design rights statistical analysis for a specific design field.
