성장혼합모형을 적용한 미취업 장년층의 일자리 기대감 변화 유형화 및 영향요인 검증 : 사회활동을 중심으로

본 연구는 미취업 장년층의 일자리 기대감의 종단적 변화를 분석하고 장년층의 개인 배경 변인과 다양한 사회활동 참여 여부가 일자리 기대감 변화양상의 잠재계층 분류에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 분석하였다. 이를 위해 성장혼합모형을 적용하여 고령화연구패널조사(KLoSA)의 4~6차 조사에 참여한 장년층 중 미취업자의 일자리 기대감을 분석하였다. 분석 결과 미취업 장년층의 일자리 기대감의 변화양상은 각각 고수준유지형, 감소형, 저수준유지형, 증가형으로 분류되었다. 개인 배경 변인은 모두 잠재계층 분류에 유의하였다. 사회활동 중에는 친목 모임과 여가/문화/스포츠 단체 참여 변인이 유의한 영향력이 있었다. 본 연구는 일자리 기대감의 종단적인 잠재계층 분석을 실시함으로써 국내에서는 거의 연구되지 않은 미취업 장년층의 심리 요인인 일자리 기대감의 중요성을 보여주었다. 또한 장년층에게 특히 중요하게 작용하는 사회활동의 유형을 일자리 기대감과 함께 분석하여 장년층 대상 고용 정책을 수립하는 데 도움이 되는 이론적 토대를 마련하고자 하였다.
Abstract
The purposes of this study were to identify latent classes according to trajectories in job expectation of the unemployed elderly and to test determinants of the latent classes. The Growth Mixture Model was applied, using the dataset taken from the 4th to 6th panel data of the KLoSA (Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging). The results demonstrated that the latent profiles were classified into four groups based on the trajectories of the elderly's job expectation, defined as ‘high-level’, ‘decreasing’, ‘low-level’, ‘increasing’. Next, the results showed that age, level of education, gender, self-reported health, household income were significant factors affecting job expectation, respectively. Among social activities participation factors, participation in social gatherings and leisure/cultural/sports groups were significant determinants of the classes, respectively. Based on the results, this study provides theoretical foundations for developing policies to promote the employment of the elderly.
