노동이해대변의 새로운 행위자에 관한 복수사례 연구

This research conducted multiple case studies on quasi-unions and civil society organizations emerging as new actors in the employment relation. It found that effectively encompass the functions of traditional trade unions and the increasingly important social pressures. This study examined pre-studies on quasi-unions and civil society organizations and suggested a 2 × 3 theoretical framework for analyzing the following issues: the classification of the quasi-unions and civil society organizations. The present research involved five quasi-unions and civil society organizations active in South Korea: Alba Union, Youth Union, Korea Proxy Driver Cooperative, Elderly Union, and Women Link. Semi-structured, in-depth interviews were conducted with the representatives of the organizations; the focus was on identifying their activities and performance- generating mechanisms. The results of this study identified that these new actors set up their own activity strategies, effectively mobilize the resources needed for their activities, and face difficulties such as financial problems. Finally, the researcher clarified the success factors and difficulties of these organizations and outlined the implications and future research.
