CEO의 역량과 특성 그리고 기업가정신이 경영성과에 미치는 영향: 전북지역 창업보육센터 입주기업을 중심으로

Purpose: This study examined the effects of competencies, characteristics, and entrepreneurship of CEOs on the business performance, focusing on the 27 companies in business incubation centers in Jeollabuk-do. Research design, data, and methodology: To study the effects of competencies, characteristics, and entrepreneurship of CEOs on the business performance, we conducted a questionnaire suvey among CEOs of the companies in business incubation centers in Jeollabuk-do and received 113 valid responses and analyzed the data by SPSS. Results: First, in the results of examining the moderating effects of experience in government support on the effects of CEOs' competencies on the business performance, the R² value was increased in case when inserting interactive variables. Second, in that of past experience in business-start up on the effects of CEOs' characteristics on the business performance, the significantly negative (-) correlations were shown only in the model inserting the needs for achievement and the matter of business start-up experience .Lastly, in the past experience in business start-up on the effects of entrepreneurship on the business performance, the significantly negative (-) correlations were shown only in the model inserting the risk-taking and the matter of business start-up experience, so that the past experience in business start-up could reduce the risk-taking. Conclusions: Based on the results of this study, the following implications are found. First, most of the enterprises in the incubator center are in the early stages of the start-up, which may be the reason why the business has not settled down yet. This suggests that the government's start-up support policy can bring the continuity of the company and that the step-by-step support policy that can strengthen the customized consulting support or practical capacity for stable corporate management can be more effective. Second, it was identified that the founder's past entrepreneurial experience is an influential factor in sales growth and employment increase. This is a matter to be considered when creating a start-up education program for pre-founders, and it will suggest a direction for the operation of the start-up incubation center.
