초록
The purpose of this study is to find out the success factors of reward based crowdfunding projects in the arts and cultural festivals. In order to delineate important success factors, this study employed a decision tree analysis of CART algorithm and a total of 155 projects were used in the data analysis, which dated back to December of 2018 listed on Tumblbug, a Korean crowdfunding platform. The results revealed that the number of investors was the most influential factor for successful funding; the larger the number, the more successful it was. It was appeared, however, that a small number of investors could also help projects to be successful depending on the key components of the landing page on the platform. For instance, the numbers of prior participation on other designers' or entrepreneurs' projects and past experience in crowdfunding campaigns were supported by the lack of investors compared to the large numbers of investor groups. This research also found that the reward and goal fundraising amount are influential factors that affect the success of the funding.
