The Effect of Privacy and Trust Factors in Fintech Service

The fourth industrial revolution is creating new industries that have applied high-level ICT technologies such as fintech industry, big data, IoT, telecommunications and artificial intelligence. Among them, the mobile payment service, a key business model for the fintech industry, is growing rapidly around the world. This study examined the factors related to information privacy and trust that affect the intention of using mobile payment services. Based on this, we investigated how concerns about information privacy and trust in services affect the intention of using mobile payment services. Results showed that privacy intrusion, privacy recognition, institutional trust and provider trust had a significant effect on the privacy concerns and service trust. Moreover, privacy intrusion, privacy recognition, institutional trust, provider trust and service trust had a significant effect on the intention to use of payment services.
