A Study on the Conversion to ChristianityModel of Chinese Students in Korea

In Korean societies especially in universities, numbers of foreign student are increasing and about 70,000 of Chinese students are studying in Korea nowadays. This study is focused on the ways of conversion to Christianity of the Chinese students studying in Korea. Currently, about 170,000 foreign students are studying at universities in Korea. The researchers have questions how those international students living in Korea, have encountered spiritual situations that is faith in Jesus Christ: through what kind of process and what factors have led them to conversion. The researchers want to study those students after conversion experiences. To pursue the study of their faith journey and religious experiences, we interviewed them with structured questions. Rambo’s systematic stage model emphasizes the systematic process of conversion. Rambo’s seven–step features provide a theoretical framework that will continue to help the Christian counselor in the process of in - depth counseling and subsequent conversion of the counselee. The counselee’s conversion process is a lifelong process.
