사내근로복지기금이 성장성과 노동생산성에 미치는 영향 : KOSPI 200 제조기업

본 연구는 2002년부터 2018년까지 17년 동안 KOSPI 200 제조기업 159개를 대상으로 사내근로복지기금을 형성한 기업 87개와 사내근로복지기금을 형성하지 않은 기업 72개로 양분하여 사내근로복지기금이 성장성과 노동생산성 등 재무성과에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 실증분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사내근로복지기금을 형성한 기업이 고정효과에서 성장성인 매출액 증가율에 유의한 양(+)의 영향을 미치고 있음을 발견하였다. 둘째, 사내근로복지기금을 형성한 기업이 고정효과에서 노동생산성인 종업원 1인당 매출액 증가율에 유의한 양(+)의 영향을 미치고 있음을 발견하였다. 셋째, 사내근로복지기금을 형성한 기업이 고정효과에서 노동생산성인 종업원 1인당 부가가치생산성 증가율에 유의한 양(+)의 영향을 미치고 있음을 발견하였다. 넷째, 사내근로복지기금 기본자산 총액 변수, 경제성장률의 대용변수로 사용한 전년 대비 GDP 증가율 등이 매출액 증가율, 종업원 1인당 매출액 증가율, 종업원 1인당 부가가치생산성 증가율에 각각 체계적으로 유의한 양(+)의 영향을 미치고 있음을 발견하였다. 다섯째, 인건비 비율을 사내근로복지기금과 상호작용하였을 경우 매출액 증가율, 종업원 1인당 매출액 증가율, 종업원 1인당 부가가치생산성 증가율에 각각 체계적으로 유의한 양(+)의 영향을 미치고 있음을 발견하였다. 본 연구는 기금제도가 근로자의 근로의욕을 증진시켜 이직률을 낮추고 장기근속 유도로 숙련된 노동력이 불량률 감소, 원가절감 등으로 생산성을 높인다는 점을 시사한다. 즉 성장성, 노동생산성 등 재무성과가 향상되어 출연하는 기금액이 증가하는 선순환 구조를 이루므로 사내근로복지기금제도를 유용하게 활용할 필요성이 있다.
Abstract
This study analyzed the effects of the company labor welfare fund on financial performance, including growth and labor productivity, by dividing the total number of company work welfare funds into 87 companies that formed company work welfare funds and 72 companies that did not form company work welfare funds for 17 years from 2002 to 2018. The results of the empirical analysis are as follows. First, it was found that the comapnies that formed the company work welfare fund had a significant amount (+) effect on the growth rate of value added productivity per employee, which is labor productivity, in fixed effect. Second, it was found that the gross amount of the basic assets of the company work welfare fund and the year-on-year GDP growth rate used as a substitute for economic growth have systematically significant effects on sales growth, sales growth per employee and value added productivity growth per employee, respectively. Third, it was found that interaction of the labor cost ratio with the company work welfare fund affects systematically significant amounts (+) of increase in sales, increase in sales per employee, and increase in value added productivity per employee, respectively.
