This study intends to investigate the effect of friendship on cyber group bullying in Kakao-talk messenger and test the effect of association with cyber bullying peer. This study also tests the effect of messenger usage time with peer and an integrated hypothesis that those who have more time with cyber bullying peer are more likely to commit cyber group bullying. In addition, this study tests whether the effect of association with cyber bullying peer is different across both the size of network and group bullying role. Furthermore, it tests the interaction effect between association with cyber bullying peer and low self-control on cyber bullying. Using data middle and high school students from Seoul and Kyunggi area, results show that association with cyber bullying peer has a significant effect on cyber group bullying, It is also found that the effect of association with cyber bullying peer is direct and stronger than messenger usage time with peer and support an integrated hypothesis that their interaction effect of usage time with cyber bullying peer has a significant. It is shown that the effect of association with cyber bullying peer on cyber group bullying is not different across the friendship network size, but its effect is larger in active bullying participator. In addition, it is shown that the effect of association with cyber bullying peer is significant, even though low self-control is controlled, and consistent with prior research results, it is revealed that the interaction effect of association with cyber bullying peer and low self-control on cyber group bullying is significant. These results show that the effect of association with cyber bullying peer on cyber group bullying is large and conditional.
